Answer: Yes they can be used on canvas...of course you will not be able to see marks on white canvas but on any other color you can and it wipes off easily so you can get your lines just right for a painting. -

Will these be white if used over graphite pencil drawing?
Answer: No! Mine just arrived today. I had some pencil drawings to which I wanted to add some highlights. The pencils work beautifully...anywhere there isn’t already graphite on the page. There, it just smudges the graphite. I tried with several hardnesses of pencil. The graphite is simply too smooth to bite into the white pigment. Despite saying “charcoal” pencil, it isn’t that at all. -

Can these be sharpened enough to draw single strands in a beard?
Answer: Yes. The charcoal is hard enough to sharpen to a point. I'd use a small hand sharpener and not an electric one. -

Will these show up to help sketch a design on an already acrylic painted canvas? Also can these be easily removed?
Answer: Yes they will show up and I think to an extent, just draw lightly. They can be erased but sometimes a thin layer still appears that’s hard to remove, unless of course you’re covering it up, then it doesn’t matter so much. -

Can these be used on acrylic paintings to draw the image first? Without the color of the pencil ruining the painting?
Answer: I don't think so - the pencil didn't work well with mixed media in my experience because the texture of it is really thick and painting over it wouldn't hide the pencil marks. but maybe if you drew lightly it might work? -
Question:
I want to know if they sent you a cheaper pencil sharpener to the one they show in the picture you ordered.
Answer: Lol, yeah, I received a little red one, nothing like the one pictured. The best pencil sharper I use now is the T’gaal sharpener for like $6. It sharpens ok but I like the points when my pencils get dull.
