İleri istatistiklerin temeli olarak doğrusal regresyon ele alınmış ve ardından lojistik regresyon incelenmiştir. Farklı gruplarda regresyonu tanımlamaya yarayan çok düzeyli modelleme, verileri sınıflandırmak için kullanılan kümeleme, diskriminant ve çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizlerine değinilmiştir. Kategorik değişkenleri daha düşük boyutlu bir uzayda görüntülemek için kullanılan uygunluk analizine yer verilmiştir. Faktör analizi benzeri prosedürlerle katılımcıları gruplayan Q metodolojisi ele alınmıştır. Gizil sınıfları belirlemek için kullanılan örtük sınıf analizine ve gizil profilleri belirlemek için kullanılan örtük profil analizine değinilmiştir. Yapısal eşitlik modellemesinin hem kovaryans tabanlı hem de PLS tabanlı yaklaşımları incelenmiştir. Ölçme ve değerlendirme alanında modern test kuramı çerçevesinde geliştirilen Rasch modellemesi, madde tepki kuramı ve daha detaylı değerlendirme sunan bilişsel tanı modellemesi kitapta yer almaktadır. Araştırmacıların ilgisini çeken ölçek geliştirme ve meta-analiz konuları da işlenmiştir. Son yıllarda teknolojinin gelişmesi ve veri miktarının artmasıyla önem kazanan veri madenciliği ve sosyal ağ analizi konularına da değinilmiştir.
