AUDIOTEK Coaxial Speakers AT660C Editorial Review
The AUDIOTEK 660C 6.5 2-Way Car Audio Component Speaker System has garnered a mixed but generally favorable reception from customers, particularly those looking for an affordable audio upgrade. Many users find these speakers to be a significant improvement over factory-installed options, especially when combined with an aftermarket head unit and amplifier. At around 50 watts per channel, the speakers deliver decent sound quality for casual listening, with customers noting clearer sounds and crisper highs. This makes them an appealing choice for budget-Conscious audiophiles eager to enhance their audio experience without breaking the bank. However, the speakers do come with some caveats. Many reviews highlight concerns about the claimed power ratings, with skepticism regarding their ability to handle the higher output without distortion or clipping. The crossover included with the speakers has been criticized for its short wiring, requiring some users to make modifications for optimal placement. Despite these drawbacks, several customers pointed out that with the right setup and adjustments—such as using an aftermarket amplifier and head unit or modifying the crossover wiring—the speakers can perform quite well for their price point. Ultimately, the AUDIOTEK 660C speakers stand out as a cost-effective alternative for those upgrading from factory speakers. While they may not compete with high-end systems, they offer excellent value for money, especially when the entire audio setup is Considered holistically. **
