SE ELECTRONICS Acoustical Treatments RF-PRO-U Editorial Review
The sE Electronics Reflexion PRO Portable Acoustic Treatment Filter is a heavy-duty and robust product that works well in reducing the unwanted noise during recording. Customers have used it to capture various sounds, including voice, drum kits, guitar amps, pop vocals, and more. Despite being designed for vocal microphones, some have used it for saxophones and acoustic guitars. However, the manufacturer advises getting dedicated instrument reflexion filters for better acoustic treatment on these instruments. The PRO Filter is compatible with any microphone stand or drum hardware. Although it's not a perfect solution, it significantly reduces background noise and treats reflections better than soft foam rigs of similar style. The mounting bracket allows for easy rotation, and the filter itself is an improvement in design and Construction quality over the older/smaller models. Its heavy-duty nature may make it tilt the mic stand slightly, and the mic holder does not allow for the passage of the mic cable unless passed through before welding. The screws and parts are not of the best quality, but the design and function are worth the price.
