The SUNON 50 x 50 x 10mm Cooling Fan with 2 pin Connector KDE1205PFB2-8 is a great value for money. It is inexpensive compared to dedicated AC cooler fans, and it does its job of cooling electrical boxes containing a PID controller or electronic accessories that run hot. With its .7 watts rating and 12 volts rating, it Consumes low power, extends life, and reduces noise levels. The fan is mounted using a 6mm drill bit and connected to at least 12v DC polarity correctly. It is not advisable to connect it to a 9v battery because it will run hot and shorten its service life. The cord is attached at the end with a small connector having small brass blades and needs 18 to 20 Ga. wires stripped back about 1/4 in., with the black wire designated as the positive lead. The fan moves a lot of air but can emit more noise than most at its rated voltage. It is suggested that it not be lowered from rated voltage, or there could be lower performance expectations. It is an excellent fan quality-wise and ships fast, and the company is based in Taiwan and has a USA location in Brea, CA. There is no external grille for the fan blades, but overall it works great and is quiet.
