Rapco Horizon Direct Boxes ISOBLOX Editorial Review
The Rapco Horizon ISOBLOX Transformer Isolation 1:1 BLOX Device is a high-quality device that eliminates ground loop problems. It contains a transformer that does not alter the sound. The device can be used as a volume control for band floor monitor speakers or for controlling microphone volume. It can also be used for balancing audio from a cable TV box to an XLR mic plug in the wall for a PA system. However, there are some issues with the device. Some customers reported a hum in the signal when the device is turned down, making it unusable. Pressing the button causes a loud "POP" in the signal, which is not desirable. Some customers also reported that the device did not work properly or had a shortage in it. Overall, the device is effective in eliminating ground loop problems and providing volume control, but potential users should be aware of the possible issues.
