Gallagher Monitors 7''1024*600-B Editorial Review
The Gallagher 7 Inch Touchscreen Monitor has garnered a mixed reception among users, particularly those looking to integrate it with Raspberry Pi models. Many customers appreciate the monitor's clear visuals and ease of setup for basic functions, especially when used with Raspberry Pi 4. The instructions are noted as clear, which benefits users in getting started without unnecessary complications. The built-in fan is also a welcomed surprise, showing attention to design and functionality in overheating scenarios. Despite these positives, some users have faced significant challenges, particularly with touchscreen functionality. Many reported that the touchscreen was not effectively operational due to insufficient power delivery, especially when using Raspberry Pi 5. Troubleshooting instructions seem to be lacking, especially for Linux users, who find the plug-and-play promise does not hold as true as with Windows systems. Additionally, the reliance on external components like a DSI cable for certain setups has added to the dissatisfaction. Overall, while the Gallagher Monitor is praised for its build quality, visual clarity, and ease of use for basic applications, potential buyers should remain cautious, especially if they intend to use it with Raspberry Pi 5 or rely heavily on the touchscreen features. **
