Jagwire Bike Brake Cables & Housing Editorial Review
The Jagwire Cable for Cantilever Brakes has been positively received by customers, who praise its quality and value. Many users noted that the cables effectively enabled them to restore and maintain the performance of their vintage mountain bikes equipped with cantilever and U brakes. Despite an initial hiccup with order accuracy, where one reviewer received only a single cable, the resolution came swiftly with a refund and correct reshipment. The cables are noted to be slightly thicker than original DiaCompe variants, yet they do not compromise on performance, providing reliability that users can trust for multiple setups. Given their affordable pricing—approximately $11 to $12 for a pack of ten—customers feel a sense of security in having ample replacements on hand, which is particularly beneficial for those maintaining older models. Users appreciate the convenience and peace of mind, allowing for routine maintenance on bikes that might otherwise suffer from brake cable degradation. Overall, the Jagwire cables are lauded not just for their quality but also for their impressive cost-effectiveness. Customers affirm that they will help keep their bikes in top condition, making them a reliable choice for anyone in need of brake cable replacements. **
