It is not self-propelled but it has a height adjustment for taller carpets. It has a snap-on piece of plastic vacuum bag cover and comes with a long cord that needs to be installed before use. The vacuum is powerful and good for suction performance. However, some customers have experienced problems with the motor burning out or dust being pumped out through the extension hose during use as a floor vacuum. It is also difficult to find attachments for this vacuum.
