CONFAST 1/2" (Inside/Screw 1/2"-13 Diameter) Drop-in Anchor Zinc Plated with 1 Setting Tool (50 per Box)

The CONFAST 12 InsideScrew 12-13 Diameter Drop-in Anchors have garnered mixed reviews from users, reflecting a range of experiences during installation and performance. While some customers appreciate the strength and reliability of these anchors, others express frustration over installation challenges, particularly with the expectations set by the product description. Many users have highlighted that the anchors perform well once installed, emphasizing their solid grip and ability to secure heavy objects such as hydraulic lifts and garage door braces. The included setting tool is often noted as functional and effective, enabling users to properly expand the anchors within the concrete. However, these positive aspects are frequently overshadowed by issues related to installation. A common challenge involves the necessity of a solid bottom for the anchor holes; several users reported that when installed in holes drilled through to gravel bases, the anchors can fail to expand properly, leading to them pushing through without securing. This has led to additional work for some users, as they had to devise solutions such as adding gravel or steel washers. Users also underline the importance of meticulous hole preparation and alignment, as angled holes can complicate the installation process. Despite these hurdles, those who took the necessary precautions and understood the installation process tended to report favorable outcomes, indicating that the anchors ultimately deliver on their promise of strength and durability. Overall, the CONFAST Drop-in Anchors are recognized for their robust performance when successfully installed, though potential users should be aware of the specific requirements for optimal use to avoid frustrating installation experiences. **
