CAD Audio Multipurpose AMS-M179 Editorial Review
The CAD Audio E100SX Large Diaphragm Supercardioid Condenser Microphone offers exceptional audio quality and a clean sound. It features a great noise filter and provides more than expected for its price. The microphone comes with a shock mount and an additional clip for use with a mic stand, all packaged in a padded case. However, it does not come with any cords, so you will need to purchase XLR cables separately. Customer reviews indicate that the microphone is versatile and can be used for live events as an audience microphone, thanks to its omnidirectional and figure 8 pickup patterns. Some users compare it to the Rode NT1 and find it to be a better option, particularly for vocal performances. However, one reviewer mentions that it does not come with a pop filter, and finding one that fits it can be a challenge. Additionally, it may not mount to certain boom arms. Overall, the CAD Audio E100SX Large Diaphragm Supercardioid Condenser Microphone is highly recommended for its exceptional sound quality, versatility, and value for money. It does have some limitations, such as the lack of included cables and a compatible pop filter, but these can be addressed with separate purchases.
