Special Interests Editorial Review
Great Performances: Macbeth is a mixed bag, with some reviewers praising the performances and modern adaptation, while others criticize the distracting costumes and changes to the original play. Patrick Stewart's portrayal of Macbeth is highly praised, and the film is noted for its chilling depiction of ambition and power. However, some viewers found the costumes and sets too bizarre and felt that it detracted from the dialogue. Overall, it's recommended for those who are open to a contemporary take on Shakespeare's classic play.
