The WDT Tool is a black distribution tool that comes with six 0.4 mm pins and a storage vault. Its purpose is to distribute coffee grounds evenly, prevent channeling and spurting, and ultimately make better-tasting coffee. The product is made of stainless steel and silicone. One customer was impressed with Crema’s customer service, providing replacements for free. The length of the tool made it easy to use with a tall funnel and reach the bottom of the portafilter. However, the top was too tight and needed tools to open. One buyer pointed out the high price for a tool that could be made with cheaper materials. Nevertheless, the WDT tool is well built with precision and nice heft. The three prongs are more comfortable to brush clean, and although it comes with only three needles, three spare needles are also included in the product, and they can be stored within the WDT Tool. The grooves for the screw top and bottom are finely machined, making the WDT Tool feel more substantial than the 3D printed ones. The result is very satisfying, with customers noticing an immense improvement in espresso quality. However, it was noted that the product seems a bit overpriced, and some buyers received the wrong colour.
