Fieldpiece CAT85 - Combustion Analyzer with Live Draft and Built-in Monometer

The Fieldpiece CAT85 combustion analyzer has garnered a mixed reception among users, showcasing notable extremes in customer experience. While some users laud its effectiveness and reliability, particularly for tasks like tuning oil-fired boilers, others have reported significant issues. Many customers have expressed frustration with sensor errors, faulty readings, and anomalies that detracted from their overall experience. There have been complaints regarding the device struggling to read carbon monoxide and having inaccurate oxygen measurements. Additionally, the lack of support from the manufacturer when purchased through non-licensed dealers has further dampened user satisfaction, leading to claims of poor warranty services when issues arise. On the positive side, users appreciate the quality of Construction and thoughtful design of the carrying case, highlighting its usefulness in professional HVAC work. However, the tool's high cost raises concerns regarding the perceived value, especially for those experiencing technical difficulties early on in its lifespan. Ultimately, while the Fieldpiece CAT85 has achieved praise as a capable and efficient tool for combustion analysis, recurring quality control issues and inadequate customer support can overshadow its advantages, leaving a divisive impression among users. **
