ART Mixers SPLITMIX 4 Editorial Review
The ART SPLITMix 4 Four Channel Passive Splitter/Mixer has garnered a positive reception from various users, particularly for its practicality and efficient design in handling multiple audio sources in professional and home audio setups. Musicians and audio professionals appreciate the device’s ability to connect multiple instruments or signals, allowing for individual control over volume levels without the complexity of a powered mixer. Users highlight its portability and straightforward operation, emphasizing that no external power supply is required, which simplifies setup and use significantly. However, several users have pointed out a notable drawback: the unit can diminish audio gain, necessitating a strong input signal for optimal performance. This loss in gain may require users to crank the input levels to avoid signal noise, which can be counterproductive for those seeking clean audio output. A few customers have recommended that ART Consider developing an active version that maintains signal levels while providing volume control. Despite these concerns, the product remains a favored choice for those needing a simple yet effective mixer/splitter solution. Overall, the ART SPLITMix 4 stands out for its solid Construction and user-friendly controls, making it suitable for various applications, particularly in small venues, churches, and home audio systems. **
