Answer: I don't know. You can compare the mounting gasket on the 56 with a 1967 to 1985 2 barrel to see if the bolt pattern is the same -

Will this work on a 90 YJ Jeep with a 4.2?
Answer: I would say yes, with the right adapter and tuning. I don't know the bolt pattern difference between the Jeep carb and a Ford 2V carb -
