Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the material used for manufacturing these guitar picks?

Answer: These guitar picks are manufactured from Lexan.
  • Question: What is the benefit of the contoured design?

Answer: The contoured design allows for smooth release.
  • Question: Do these picks provide a good grip?

Answer: Yes, these picks have a powerful gripping surface for easier handling.
  • Question: Greetings. i have one and might buy thicker ones, however, the pick chips very easily. do you think i just got a lemon?

Answer: I've had no problems with these chipping excessively so maybe you did get a bad batch!
  • Question: Is the 24 pack 24 picks? Thank you in advance

Answer: yes, the 24 pack is 24 picks and they last forever if you don’t lose them
  • Question: the shape is functional? I mean..can you use the three sides?

Answer: All three sides are equal and functional, but just so you know, this pick is large. It measures approx. 1-5/16th inches tip to tip of the triangle sides. I use this pick mostly for bass guitar and not for a 6 string guitar because of its size. Hope this helps.
  • Question: Are the points as sharp as the Dunlop 474R and Dunlop 475R picks?

Answer: I don't know those picks, but I do think these are less sharp than my regular (guitar) picks. Which is why I like then so much for bass, as the more blunt pick gets a little rounder and less harsh attack than with regular picks.
  • Question: is it easy to play fast? like thrash metal fast.

Answer: Depends. My opinion is that this pick is good for playability. If you're looking to thrash try something much smaller from the Dunlop arsenal, like an Ultex® Jazz III.
  • Question: What is the actual size of the pick?

Answer: From any of the three tips to the center of the opposing arch is exactly 1 1/4 inch. The ones I order are 1.5mm and plenty thick; I'' have to try the 3mm sometime. Great picks - they're all I use. DCP
  • Question: For bass do these wear out fast? Will these help with scraping because I keep my bass low and tend to slant the pick which causes terrible scraping.

Answer: Shouldn't as they are a formidable pick thick but tapered edge. So it would be worth it I was impressed. Not cheap crap. I am not playing since purchase (Bass).
  • Question: What size for bass?

Answer: I have the 2mm Tri-Stubby for playing my bass when I play it with a pick and it works great and has great tone to it. They are nice and big, so losing them is not really a thing. If you're wondering about flexibility, the 2mm will probably break before it bends. In other words, it is very sturdy.
  • Question: Is this pick good for a bass guitar?

Answer: I do not play bass but this pick is well made...thick enough to stand up to heavy strings and I would imagine would make a good bass guitar pick. I like using mine on my Epiphone Es-175 for playing jazz.
