Laney Preamps DB-PRE Editorial Review
The Laney DB-PRE Digbeth Series Bass Preamp Pedal is a top-class preamp pedal, with amazing sound quality and impressive flexibility. Reviewers are highly impressed with its sound and recommend it without hesitation. The tube setting adds warmth and growl, while the cab sim on the XLR out is great. The fet setting is clean and articulate with a massive headroom. The EQs are musical and one of the most transparent available. The FX loop is also great to add delay or EQ. Despite this, some reviewers are not fond of the tube distortion at higher settings and state that it can become flabby. However, feeding a dirt pedal at lower settings breaks up nicely.
