Quality-Built Alternators 15728 Editorial Review
The 15728 Premium Quality Alternator has garnered mixed reactions from customers, showcasing a divide in user satisfaction. For some, particularly those replacing older or failing alternators on vehicles like the 2007 Dodge Caliber, the product has exceeded expectations, performing better than the original component. Customers have reported that it handles electrical loads well, such as preventing dimming headlights during window operations, and installation has generally been straightforward for those experienced in DIY repairs. However, the product isn’t without its pitfalls. Several customers have voiced dissatisfaction due to reliability issues, with some experiencing failures shortly after installation. A notable feedback point is from a user who reported breakdowns in traffic due to insufficient power output from the alternator. Others have mentioned persistent noise issues after a short period of use, indicating potential concerns about the longevity of the unit's built-in mechanisms. Additionally, while the remanufactured aspect of the alternator is viewed positively for being US-made, some users have expressed frustration over the core return policy, finding the return process opaque and inconvenient. Overall, while some customers praise the alternator’s performance and value, others warn of possible defects and inadequate customer support regarding warranty and returns. This inConsistency suggests that potential buyers may need to weigh the risks carefully before making a purchase decision. **
