This vise has metric graduated handle dials, 3 mounting slots on each side spaced 1" center to center from each other and 4-7/8". The height of this vise from lower mounting surface to top of jaws is 5-1/2 inch, and from mounting surface to the bottom of jaws is 4-1/2 inch. Customers have reported that it is initially rough and required some adjustments and cleaning up of rough surfaces to get it to function to their satisfaction. However, it is capable of milling an 80% lower or small grooves and slots in aluminum and steel if you take your time.
