Frieling Gold Coffee Filter # 4

The Frieling Gold Coffee Filter #4 has garnered a mixture of positive and negative feedback from users, particularly those who have purchased it to replace paper filters for their coffee brewing needs. Customer experiences highlight the filter’s compatibility with various coffee makers, such as the Bonavita BV1800, noting that it fits perfectly into #4 filter holders. Many users appreciate the sturdiness of the filter, which holds up well against regular washing, maintaining its quality over time. The rich, flavorful coffee produced without the waste of paper filters is a significant advantage, with multiple users reporting minimal sludge and residue from the brewing process, leading them to enjoy a stronger and more aromatic cup of coffee. However, some issues have been reported. A few customers have received filters that showed signs of wear upon arrival, such as dents or a damaged finish. There are also mentions of compatibility problems when using alternatives or lower-quality filters, highlighting that not every product experience is straightened out in favor of the Frieling. Additionally, some users experienced undesired outcomes when pairing the filter with specific grinds or coffee-making methods, indicating that it may not perform equally well across all setups. The sentiment about the handle on the filter is mixed, as some customers encountered problems with it breaking or being difficult to handle, leading to grounds spilling onto fingers when lifting the filter. Overall, the Frieling Gold Coffee Filter #4 is seen as an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to paper filters, especially praised for its performance with finely ground coffee, though some concerns about quality control and design improvements have been raised. **
