Italian Editorial Review
Pizza Camp: Recipes from Pizzeria Beddia is a cookbook that features easy-to-understand recipes for making pizzas with chewy and crispy crusts. The book is well-suited for home pizza aficionados who want to elevate their pizza game. Customers were impressed with Joe Beddia’s dough recipe, which worked best when cooked in a regular oven, resulting in fantastic dough that was more chewy than crispy. The sauce is also a winner, and the topping combinations are stellar. Some customers wished they had a larger surface area for pizzas, as they were generally 16 inches. The book does require planning ahead, but the results are worth it. On the downside, some customers found the book disappointing. One found the dough recipe to be inConsistent, while another critic thought the book simply featured useless arty photos and sarcastic recipes. The hardback cover was also unsuitable for gifting, as it had dents and wrinkles. Overall, the book appears to be an excellent resource for perfecting pizza-making skills, especially for home cooks who prefer regular ovens instead of high-tech pizza ovens.
