TotalMass Acoustical Treatments Editorial Review
Mass Loaded Vinyl MLV Barrier 1/2 LB Half Pound Soundproofing Acoustic Barrier (4' x 25' - 100 square feet) effectively reduces sound transmission, particularly effective when placed between two sheets of drywall, as reported by users. The material, weighing about 55.9 pounds, might be challenging to handle without assistance due to its heaviness, but it's built for durability and sound dampening. While some users have found it to sag in certain applications, it still serves a purpose in creating quieter environments, especially beneficial for those with sensitivities to noise. Overall, users appreciate its sound-blocking capabilities even though it doesn't provide complete soundproofing.
