Product Details
- The German Stahlhelm is perhaps the most recognizable image of World War II (1939-1945). Manufactured in its millions, it was used or copied by many countries. It is still one of the most collected relics of the war; but despite its relative availability, prices have reached levels that challenge collectors to protect themselves by acquiring in-depth knowledge. This book, by a collector of 30 years' standing, offers a detailed masterclass in the patterns, component parts and finishes of the combat helmets used by the German Army, Navy and Air Force. It is illustrated with a superb selection of rare period photos, colour photos of collected examples, and striking colour paintings.

Conventional Editorial Review
The "Wehrmacht Combat Helmets 1933-45" offers a very good overview of German helmets. Although the volume is slim, it contains a great deal of information and serves as an excellent reference for beginners and experienced collectors alike. Written by an experienced collector and dealer, the book offers guidance for avoiding pitfalls in identifying fake or tampered-with helmets. The book covers the development, Construction, and historical significance of the various German helmets produced and used during the Third Reich period. The book is well-written, easy to read, and packed with plenty of images to help readers discern the subtle differences between different helmet models. It also offers a section on helmet liners, their Construction, and major differences, as well as a section on camouflaging techniques. The book does not offer much technical information on helmets like weight, but it provides enough detailed information to satisfy discerning readers. Overall, the book is informative and makes an excellent addition to any reference bookshelf.
